Firefox will not serialize the xmlns attributes of node inside
XMLDocuments, see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=175946
it will only output an xmlns attribute if the node being serialized has
a non-null namespaceURI.
When compiling templates, we currently use a special attribute,
"block-ns" to keep track of the namespace, but we do not make use of the
namespace to create the elements that will be serialized to the compiled
block string. This causes a difference in behaviour between Chrome and
Firefox: since we end up with an Element with two attributes: the
block-ns attribute and the xmlns attribute. Chrome will serialize both,
but Firefox will only serialize the block-ns because the Element does
not have a namespaceURI.
To fix this issue, we get rid of the block-ns magic attribute
completely, and use xmlns instead. We also use the namespace when
creating intermediate elements that will be used to create the
serialized block string: the namespace is only used to create the
elements but *not* set as an attribute, as this would cause chrome to
serialize it twice, causing a duplicate attribute error when parsing it
further down the line.
When creating the template element for the block at runtime, the xmlns
attribute is used both as the namespace with which to create the
element, and set as an attribute, this doesn't cause issues when
serializing later because the namespaceURI is never serialized as an
attribute when serializing an HTML document[1], so we avoid the
double-serialization in Chrome, and when doing HTML serialization,
Firefox will correctly serialize the attribute.
It's desirable that the xmlns is set as an attribute to allow users to
use owl to render SVG, and then use the HTML serialization of it as a
SVG even outside the context of an HTML document (eg to generate an SVG
file or an SVG data URL).

This commit makes it so that when an error occurs in an owl app and none
of the registered error handlers are able to handle it, we rethrow the
error instead of just logging it to the console and swallowing it. This
allows users of owl to handle errors that happen in owl applications by
using event listeners for error and unhandledrejection events on the
window.
With this commit, component only render child
components if they have different props (shallow
equality). Otherwise, we trust the reactivity
system to make sure that all impacted components
are updated
Have a GrandParent which controls whether one of its GrandChildren is displayed or not.
First, the GrandChild is displayed. Then, change the state of the GrandParent in order to kill
the GrandChild.
Before this commit the GrandChild is only removed from the DOM, as bdom correctly works.
But it is not destroyed.
After this commit, the GrandChild is correctly destroyed.
Every use case involving some sort of key set on a component would give birth to a leak in an async context:
- If a key of a component changed, the outdated one was never destroyed.
- destroyed component were never removed from their parent's reference map.
This commit solves both issues, that are tightly linked anyway.
t-out automatically escaped content when it is a string not marked
with the `markup` function
t-out renders the raw content if it is a Block, or if it has been marked
with the `markup` funtion.
t-esc has been kept since it is safe and is optimized to render text nodes.
all t-raw calls are in fact the same as t-out.
We reintroduce the possibility to mount the app in first position in
a target. The option "self" has been dropped since it is now possible
for a component to have several top level nodes.
We re-add the possibility to validate props when dev mode is active.
No change in the API right Now. The dev mode is activated via the
configure method of App class.
The point is to have visibility on the development of the owl2 features.
This commit reintroduces some tests keeping them skipped in order to fulfill that purpose.
There still are some missing tests though.
We add some test for the t-on directive.
For making them pass, it was necessary to change the code produced by
compileTForeach: the const declaration is not done by using generateId
and there was some conflict with the variable names produced in
captureExpression. Consequently, many snapshots had to be changed.
Code prettification has been done too.
